The Sound Board
New video from Gulu, Uganda - 200 children helped
An incredible few days helping the people of GUlu and Kampala, Uganda
On our first day in Uganda, we worked with Sister Rosemary of St. Monica's School. Since opening, St. Monica’s has trained more than 2,000 girls who have escaped from the LRA and Joseph Kony. She works closely with Starkey Hearing Foundation, who actually built the playground for the children at the school in 2012. Along with Starkey and Sister Rosemary, we helped give the gift of sound to over 200 children. Many had never heard or spoken before in their entire life, and we're honored to share our experience with you.
We then moved on to Kampala, and got to experience our first fitting in the rain! Despite the downpour, nobody was turned away, and we ended up helping thousands of people.
