Treasure Island Music Festival
While we love the surf and sun of southern California, there's so much to explore in the northern part of our state. A trip to breezy San Francisco was just what we needed for a weekend adventure.
We're totally hooked on the character of San Francisco's Haight, Lower Haight, and Mission districts. Enthralled by the colorful murals lining nearly every street, we hit the street art jackpot when we stumbled upon Clarion Alley. We offered a small donation to the alley's curators, then entered an artistic world that so perfectly characterizes bohemian San Francisco.
After exploring SF's metropolitan center, we took the scenic route over the Bay Bridge to drive onto beautiful Treasure Island. Nestled in the bay between SF and Oakland, Treasure Island was an idyllic location for one of our favorite kinds of events - music festivals! Treasure Island Music Festival took place over two days and boasted a diverse lineup of rock, pop, and electronic acts. Our favorites? Father John Misty, FKA Twigs, Big Boi & Phantogram, and Deadmau5. Talk about diversity!
With its perfect combination of stunning beauty and unique character, there's no question we'll be back to San Francisco and Treasure Island. We look forward to exploring the beautiful Bay area again soon!
